Happy Patriots' Day

Happy Patriots DayApr 21, 2014: We wish you all a Happy Patriots' Day. Traditionally April 19th was designated as Patriots' Day in observance of the anniversary of the Battles of Lexington and Concord, the first battles of the American Revolutionary War. Since 1969, however, the holiday has been observed on the third Monday in April, providing a three-day long weekend!

Here's an inspiring part on the advents of Patriots' Day (PatriotLedger.com):
Not dismayed or daunted, this small body of yeomanry, armed in the cause of justice, and struggling for every thing they held dear, maintained their stand until the British troops, though far superior in numbers, and in all the advantage of military skill, discipline, and equipment, gave ground and retreated, without half executing the purpose designed, by this forced march to Concord.

The footsteps of the most remorseless nations have seldom been marked with more rancorous and ferocious rage, than may be traced in the transactions of this day; a day never to be forgotten by Americans. A scene like this had never before been exhibited on her peaceful plains; and the manner in which it was executed, will leave an indelible stain on a nation, long famed for their courage, humanity, and honor.
The Boston Marathon is run on this day every year. And as the tradition continues, The Boston Red Sox are scheduled to play at home in Fenway Park today. Have a wonderful day!
